Waste landfill - Van Gansewinkel HBSS

Waste landfill is not an ideal solution regarding utilisation of raw materials. However, currently it remains as the only solution for many types of waste. All of us, however, can influence at least quantity of stored waste by separation of its utilisable component parts.

van Gansewinkel HBSS – Landfill of hazardous waste S-NO with sector S-OO3 for storage of municipal waste is located in Horní Benešov. In 2009, it was enlarged by the fourth body, which, by its area of 2.1 ha, increases the capacity for next 15 years.

Safety
Company van Gansewinkel attends to safety. That is why it insisted on safety elements such as isolation foil with higher resistance compared to legislative requirements and monitoring of eventual damage of the foil when building up the fourth body.

Line for treatment of waste

It is technological equipment by which treatment of selected types of waste is carried out before they are stored into the landfill, eventually it is used for redevelopment and reclamation materials. The way and procedure of treatment of selected types of waste before their storage into the landfill is in compliance with Appendix No. 6 of the Public Notice No. 383/2001 Coll..

Treatment of waste on the line consists in:

physical treatment before storing into the landfill,
physiochemical treatment – stabilisation, removal of hazardous properties of waste,

production of reclamation and redevelopment materials

secured biodegradation area

storage of hazardous waste for collection and purchase

storage of secondary raw materials
